FUCK (MoMA Postcard Hack)

November 2023

Created for The MoMA Postcard Project, this work subverts the intended collaborative format by "hacking" the system to complete all 16 tiles personally. The resulting postcard spells the word FUCK using the available tassels, a direct, unapologetic protest against the institutional appropriation of underground creative movements.

While the project invites participants to "co-create interactive NFT postcards", its aesthetic and concept echo the on-chain pixel art experiments that thrived independently on the Tezos platform 8bidou, long before MoMA's engagement. By reclaiming every tile, the piece exposes this dynamic, a critique of how mainstream institutions absorb and repackage the language of genuine grassroots innovation without acknowledgment.

Each card bears the MoMA logo in the corner, transforming the whole into an unintentional yet perfectly fitting message: FUCK MoMA.

Famous Paintings Triptychs

April 2022

Art History in 24 Pixels

A series of triptychs that reinterpret iconic masterpieces through the radical compression of form and meaning. Each work recreates a famous painting, from Liberty Leading the People to The Last Supper, Guernica, and The Starry Night, using only three horizontally aligned 8×8 pixel images.

Minted fully on-chain on the Tezos platform 8bidou as separate yet interdependent tokens, each triptych exists as both a fragmented collectible and a complete conceptual unit. The reduction of these monumental works to 24x8 pixels transforms them into pure symbols, minimal data relics that question how much visual information is needed for recognition, memory, and cultural transmission.

By reimagining the canon of art history through the language of on-chain pixel art, the project reflects on the tension between permanence and loss, data and image, masterpiece and meme.

24x24 Stamps

April 2022

A collection of 24×24 pixel stamps minted on 8bidou, celebrating iconic figures from pop culture, music, and history, from Bob Marley and Princess Leia Organa to Queen Elizabeth II, who ultimately became my own PFP.

Each stamp transforms a familiar face into a minimalist digital relic, where recognition emerges from scarcity, of pixels, of color, of space. The series explores how identity and symbolism persist even when stripped to their bare visual essence, echoing both the universality of postage stamps and the permanence of on-chain artifacts.
